PRACTICAL, EFFECTIVE, AND EXPERIENCED!
During the first half of my adult life I worked in the for-profit business world; the second half in the social sector and academics.
My big leap of faith came in 2004 when I started Sage Solutions Nonprofit Consulting. It was not easy going from a paycheck to relying on my own initiative, but I felt that it was what I needed to do next. My intuition proved to be right; and I can now boast of over 40 years of business and nonprofit experience (I started at age 5).
As for “credentials” - my undergraduate degree is in Business Management from Texas Tech University and my master’s is in Nonprofit Management (MNM) from Regis University.
As important as my academic background; I have had the privilege of working with and learning from hundreds of nonprofits, businesses, and organizations during my consulting practice.
From these experiences and relationships, I developed a keen sense of the issues, situations, and challenges facing nonprofits organization and have accumulated a large array of effective approaches and tools for improving operational, organizational, and fundraising effectiveness.
In addition to my consulting projects, after 14 plus years, I retired as a non-tenure track Associate Teaching Professor at Montana State University’s Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship where I was awarded Montana State University’s 2016 Innovation in Teaching Award.
I have also developed and taught online nonprofit management courses for the University of Montana, the Humane Society of the United States and was a Founding Board Member and past Chair of the Montana Nonprofit Association.
