Nonprofit organizations are uniquely positioned to advance social change. Throughout history, nonprofits have been instrumental in solving some of our society's most complex issues, and at the center of our proudest moments.
I believe in the structure, culture, and power of the nonprofit sector to improve our world. That's why I have spent my professional career (28 years) working with nonprofit organizations.
Now, I feel inspired to share what I’ve learned with nonprofit leaders and to play a role, if even a small one, in the growth and success of others who strive to make a difference.
My experience includes visioning, leading, developing, and managing organizations. I've served executive, fund development, and program development functions for nonprofits of various sizes and missions--from working with a trade organization representing winegrowers in Napa Valley, California, to mentoring children in Helena, Montana. I also served as the Organizational Development Director for the Montana Nonprofit Association where I created Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Montana and designed a variety of professional organizational development and capacity building programs, tools, and resources to help nonprofits become more efficient, effective, and sustainable.
While I thoroughly enjoy the work I do, I also make time for running, flyfishing, mountain biking, reading, talking with friends, and watching bad television with my husband John. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 406.461.6997
"Terry has provided the guidance we needed to keep on track and to assure that our nonprofit is running like a business should! Because of her, our policies and governance are in place, our board is working together well. And now, we always have someone to call to make sure we are stewarding our donations in an ethical manner. I don’t know where we would be without her!!"
