“Peggy worked with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Park County at a critical time in our organization. She is very knowledgeable in the non-profit sector, gave practical advice on fundraising during tough economic times and motivated both Board and staff members to follow through on the plan. I highly recommend Peggy as a trustworthy, easy to work with partner for any non-profit organization.”

Thirty years ago, when I became a nonprofit leader, there wasn’t a lot of help out there. I joined Sage because, in the early years, I learned (the hard way) what it takes to make a nonprofit organization effective. I appreciate the huge potential of organizations and know that, in today’s world, doing good work doesn’t have to be difficult.
I’ve been both a board and staff nonprofit leader, and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to be the founding board president of the Montana Nonprofit Association.
I also cherish the decades spent with Big Brother Big Sister agencies in Montana and Alaska. Some days, while working in Yellowstone National Park helping the Yellowstone Association fundraise, I’ve had to pinch myself when my lunch breaks were spent hiking Mammoth Terraces and avoiding confrontations with elk and bison.
I truly enjoy working with boards and nonprofit executives. It’s thrilling to hear nonprofit leaders vocalize dreams about their organization’s future and then help them outline tangible steps to turn those dreams into reality. I also enjoy providing training and tools to folks who are new to the nonprofit sector, as well as brainstorming opportunities for organizations in transition.
My membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the AFP Montana Chapter board of directors offers me a steady stream of information about the latest fundraising trends. It’s satisfying to pass that kind of valuable information on to others, knowing it will make their lives a little bit easier.
When I have a bit of downtime, I plan my next travel adventure, enjoy the outdoors, relish time with my husband and friends, or enjoy some me time practicing yoga and reading the current selection of my book club. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 406.220.2464
